Amazon Web Services issue is breaking the entire internet
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is having issues, and that means everything on the internet is having issues. AWS says it’s “identified the issue as high error rates with S3 in US-EAST-1, which is also impacting applications and services dependent on S3.”
S3 is AWS’s scalable cloud storage service.
@blairkellerhals Unfortunately, yes, it's an overall file hosting issue. Sorry! Thanks for hanging in there.— Slack (@SlackHQ) February 28, 2017
Currently affected sites include Slack, Trello, Quora, Business Insider, Coursera, and Time Inc. Some users report being unable to control Internet of Things devices such as lightbulbs because IFTTT is also down.

Despite this, AWS’s health dashboard shows no recent events despite its acknowledgement of the errors.
